Here is a simple guide to help you create your carousel or slideshow, which you can then upload to LinkedIn or Instagram.
Start by creating the carousel itself. You can create your slideshow however you like in InDesign, Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Figma. We usually use the 1:1 or 4:5 format when creating carousels for LinkedIn or Instagram. You can choose how many slides you want!
Once you have created your slides, it's time to save them to your computer. Here you can choose to save them as png or pdf, depending on where you want to publish the carousel. On Instagram, you can only upload images, so you should save your slides as png when publishing them on Instagram. On LinkedIn, you need to upload a PDF.
Now it's time to publish! If you want to upload your slideshow to Instagram, just select one image at a time, in the order you want them to appear. (You can select multiple images for a post by clicking on the icon next to the camera icon on the left directly in Instagram.)
If you want to upload your slideshow to LinkedIn, select the slides you want to include in the order you want them and then create a PDF with all the slides. Now just upload it to LinkedIn!
It's as simple as that.
