AI is on its way to being integrated into every aspect of our business processes. This technology, which was once (two years ago when ChatGPT burst into our lives) seen as something futuristic, is now here, and we don't even bat an eyelid when new features are released. But here's the paradox: AI will change everything—and yet nothing. Why? Because even though technology makes us faster, smarter, and more efficient, it's still human values that determine who wins the customer and the deal in the end. You won't be replaced by AI; you'll be replaced by someone who uses AI.
AI can automate, analyze, write reports, and create X* in a fraction of the time it takes a human. But it's important to remember that AI is just a tool. It doesn't replace human creativity, intuition, or the ability to build relationships. AI is changing the game, but the human element is still what creates deep and meaningful connections with customers and business partners. The companies and individuals who learn to use AI as an extension of their abilities will stand strong.
*Replace X with any job in any white-collar profession in the world.
As I look ahead to 2025, success will be about more than just integrating AI into business processes. Sure, technology will change how we work, but soft values will be more important than ever. That's because everyone will become equally adept at creating AI-generated fluff. This is where the change will feel less radical than many might think. AI can streamline many processes, but it cannot build the relationships and atmosphere that make customers feel seen and understood. And choose you and your company.
On the surface, AI will revolutionize the world we operate in. But at its core, it's still about relationships, creativity, and strategic adaptability. With the right AI tools, we will be able to do more, faster, but truly standing out and succeeding will still depend on how we humans use these tools to create value and meaning for our customers.
Next year will also be the year we get tired of saying AI. It's already everywhere. In the same way that you no longer talk about digitalization today. If you do, you're passé. Sorry, but that's how it is. Everything we do is digital. Yes, there are exceptions, but the problem is not digitalization itself, it's all the extremely poorly implemented digital solutions.
And this is where AI comes in. As a layer on top of poor digital systems, AI becomes the assistant that finds what you need to find and does what you need to do. So you can spend more time developing your business, meeting more customers and, if the stars align, even spending more time with your family, on your health and your hobbies.
AI will therefore make work easier, but one important factor remains. It is still human contact and creativity that create real change and success.
